Love the park, always a great place for cookouts with friends and family. Dissapointed that parks are no longer replacing their grills when they rust, or break. Plus now there was a law passed that you can no longer smoke in parks. And a great deal of my friends and family smoke cigarettes. So won't be planning on going there anymore.
Marathon Park is a great place to take a break. It has ample playgrounds for the little ones, and great walking trails for the exercise enthusiast or two people holding hands. When I need to stretch my legs in Wausau I head to Marathon park.
This is a great City run RV park in the middle of the woods in the middle of the city. I didn't see any pull throughs and there is no water at the sites. Although they do have a dump and fill included in the price. It's $6.00 if your not staying overnight.
I like being at the park for all the events. We like the art festival and the fair (mostly for the "healthy" fair food and the concerts). We've been there just for the playgrounds too. It's nice to have all those in one area. We also like to hit up the decent splash pad. It's nice to have this in Wausau.
This is a great park. They have the splash pad for kids in the summer and it's only 50 cents per person to get in. Definitely worth it. They have ice cream and other snacks, a kids train you can ride around the splash pad. There's four different playgrounds all offering different skill levels. Lots of large mature trees in the park. Also our county fair takes place here in July, and August. Large grandstands with live music. Really this park has something for everyone, even camping in central Wausau Wisconsin.
